Tony Rome is a private investigator who is hired to investigate the murder of a woman whose body is found in cement. The woman turns out to be Kit Forrester, a socialite who was married to a wealthy businessman. Rome finds himself drawn into a web of deceit and corruption as he tries to get to the bottom of Forrester's death.
As he contacts people from Forrester's past, Rome learns that she was involved with a local gangster named Gronski. When Gronski approaches Rome asking him to find a missing woman named Sandra Lomax, Rome begins to suspect that he may be involved in Forrester's murder.
As he begins his investigation, Rome meets a beautiful party girl named Ann Archer, who he is immediately attracted to. Archer is also involved with Gronski, and Rome soon finds himself caught up in a dangerous game of love and betrayal.
As Rome delves deeper into the case, he uncovers a plot to steal valuable jewels from a wealthy businessman. With the help of Archer, Rome must find a way to stop the criminals before they make off with the loot and leave a trail of death and destruction in their wake.
Lady in Cement is a classic film noir, with plenty of twists and turns to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. Featuring a strong performance by Frank Sinatra as the hardboiled detective, it is a must-see for fans of the genre.
