Escape to Kenya: Love and Life Reunited

Comedy,Drama  Italy

La Vita Facile is a 2011 Italian drama film directed by Lucio Pellegrini. The protagonist of the movie is Guido (Pierfrancesco Favino), an Italian doctor who has tired of his life in the city and decides to move to Kenya to start a new life.

Guido had always been interested in Africa and wanted to work as a doctor in the remote areas of the country. He sets up a small clinic in a small village, where he treats the local people and also teaches them about basic hygiene and healthcare.

Guido's life takes a turn when an old friend from Italy, Franco (Stefano Accorsi), comes to visit him in Kenya. Franco brings along his wife, Luisa (Vittoria Puccini), who happens to be Guido's old lover. Guido is initially hesitant to meet Luisa, but Franco convinces him to spend some time with her.

As Guido and Luisa reconnect and reminisce about the past, their feelings for each other start to resurface. However, Guido is hesitant to pursue a relationship with Luisa because of his friendship with Franco.

The movie is a beautiful exploration of love, friendship, and life in a foreign land. It is a poignant reminder of how our past always catches up with us and how the decisions we make can impact our lives in unexpected ways. La Vita Facile is a must-watch for anyone who loves Italian cinema and compelling storytelling.
