Revolutionary Youth Embrace Mao's Teachings.

Comedy,Drama  France

La Chinoise is a political drama film directed by Jean-Luc Godard, released in 1967. The film follows a small group of young revolutionary students in Paris who are avid followers of Mao Zedong's ideas and beliefs. They gather at an apartment that they have turned into a revolutionary commune and discuss their plans of overthrowing the bourgeois society and establishing a Maoist community in France.

The group engages in discussions and debates about Mao's philosophy, Marxism, history and the current state of French society. They also discuss their strategies for achieving their goals, which include committing violent acts of terrorism against the establishment.

As the group becomes more radicalized, their discussions turn into a series of ideological clashes, with each member trying to convince the others of the best way forward. Their disagreements escalate into a violent confrontation, with one member threatening to blow up the apartment block in which they live.

The film is a satire on the radical left-wing movements of the 1960s and their fascination with Maoism. It is also a commentary on the role of ideology in political movements and the often violent consequences that can result from fanatical beliefs.
