Kung Fu Panda is a 2008 animated movie produced by DreamWorks Animation. The movie is about a lazy, overweight, and enthusiastic panda named Po, who dreams of becoming a Kung Fu master. When he accidentally stumbles into the Valley of Peace, he is mistaken for the legendary Dragon Warrior and is chosen to fulfill an ancient prophecy.
Master Shifu, the wise old red panda, is initially reluctant to train Po due to his clumsiness and lack of discipline. However, as the villainous Tai Lung, Shifu's former student, escapes from prison and threatens the valley, Shifu sees the potential in Po and trains him in the ways of Kung Fu.
Despite being mocked by the Furious Five, Po proves himself to be a worthy warrior and earns their respect. However, Tai Lung arrives in the valley and defeats the Furious Five, leaving Po to face him alone. Po uses his unorthodox Kung Fu techniques and defeats Tai Lung with the Dragon Scroll, which reveals the true secret to becoming the Dragon Warrior is to believe in oneself.
In addition to the main storyline, the movie also explores the theme of finding one's true identity and accepting oneself for who they are. The movie features an all-star cast, including Jack Black as Po, Dustin Hoffman as Master Shifu, and Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, and David Cross as the Furious Five. The movie was a critical and commercial success, spawning two sequels and several spin-off series.
