After meeting his biological father, Li Shan, Po decides to travel to a secret panda village located in a distant mountain range to learn more about his past and discover his true purpose. Meanwhile, Kai, the bull adversary from the spirit realm, sends his jade warriors to attack the village and steal the chi of all the pandas. Po realizes that he must train the pandas in kung fu and lead them into battle against Kai's forces.
Despite initial resistance and doubts from the pandas about their abilities to fight, Po's enthusiasm and determination to protect his newfound family inspires them to embrace their own unique powers and join him in battle. Together, they engage in an epic fight against Kai and his jade warriors, ultimately using their collective chi to defeat him and save the village.
Throughout the journey, Po also grapples with his own identity and struggles to balance his responsibilities as both a kung fu master and a loving son. He ultimately learns that his true strength lies in accepting all aspects of himself and embracing his family, both old and new.
