Krush Groove is a 1985 film loosely based on the inception of Def Jam Recordings and the early careers of several hip-hop artists such as Run-DMC, Beastie Boys, and LL Cool J. The film follows the story of Russell Walker, a young and ambitious manager of Krush Groove Records, who discovers and signs talented hip-hop artists and helps them rise to fame.
