Kronk's New Groove is a direct-to-video sequel to the 2000 Disney animated film The Emperor's New Groove. In the film, Kronk has left his position as Yzma's henchman to become the head chef and delivery boy at Mudka's Meat Hut, where he has finally found success and happiness. However, his father, Papi, disapproves of his career choice and wants Kronk to return home to the family's ancestral village and start a family.

To impress his father and prove his worth, Kronk lies and tells him that he is a successful chef with a wife and children. When Papi announces that he is coming to visit, Kronk enlists the help of his friends, including his love interest, Miss Birdwell, to pretend to be his family. Chaos ensues as they try to maintain their charade, leading to hilarious situations and misunderstandings.

Meanwhile, Yzma has returned and is determined to get revenge on Kronk for betraying her. She hatches a plot to turn Kronk's friends against him and steal his secret recipe for spinach puffs. Kronk must navigate these challenges while also trying to save his friendships and impress his father.

In the end, Kronk learns the importance of being honest and true to oneself, and realizes that his true family is his group of friends who have supported him all along. Papi is proud of him for finding success in his own way, and Kronk and Miss Birdwell finally confess their feelings for each other.
