Kochadaiiyaan is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language motion-capture computer-animated action film directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth. The film features Rajinikanth in dual roles, as a father and son in medieval India. The plot revolves around the story of Rana (Rajinikanth), a noble warrior who seeks revenge against the ruler of his kingdom, Emperor Rishabhdev (Jackie Shroff), for killing his father.

To achieve his goal, Rana joins hands with his ally, the Queen of Kottaipattinam, Princess Vadhana (Deepika Padukone), who is also seeking revenge against the Emperor for killing her father. Their alliance leads to a series of battles and confrontations against the Emperor and his army.

However, things take a turn when Rana also ends up upsetting the neighbouring enemy kingdom's ruler, King Mahendra (Nassar), who his father had previously defeated in battle. King Mahendra sees Rana's actions as a direct challenge to his authority and decides to wage war against him.

As the two kingdoms go to war, Rana is forced to fight a battle on two fronts and must use all his skills and courage to protect his kingdom and defeat his enemies. The film ends with Rana conquering his adversaries and being hailed as a hero by his people.

Kochadaiiyaan was the first Indian film to use motion capture technology for its animation and was also released in 3D. Despite the film receiving mixed reviews from critics, it was commercially successful and was praised for its technical achievements.
