Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye is a film noir crime drama released in 1950, directed by Gordon Douglas. The movie is based on the novel of the same name by Horace McCoy.

The plot revolves around Ralph Cotter (played by James Cagney), who is serving time in prison for a crime he claims he did not commit. Cotter manages to escape from prison with the help of a fellow inmate and quickly sets out to get back into the crime business.

After his escape, Cotter seduces the sister of a dead inmate, Holiday Carleton (played by Barbara Payton), and involves her in his criminal activities. Together, they rob a bank and use the money to get ahead in the underworld.
