Kiss of the Dragon is a 2001 action thriller film directed by Chris Nahon and produced by Luc Besson. The movie stars Jet Li as Liu Jian, a Chinese intelligence officer who travels to Paris to assist the French police in capturing a Chinese drug lord named Mr. Big.
As soon as he arrives in Paris, Jian is introduced to the French police officer Jean-Pierre Richard (played by Tcheky Karyo), who seems to be working closely with him but is actually in cahoots with Mr. Big. Things take a turn for the worse when Jian becomes a victim of a setup by Richard and is accused of murdering a prostitute.
On the run from both the French police and Mr. Big's henchmen, Jian finds refuge with a prostitute named Jessica (played by Bridget Fonda), who becomes his ally and helps him clear his name. Together, they uncover a sinister plot involving drugs, corruption, and political intrigue that reaches the highest levels of French society.
The movie features several fast-paced action scenes, including a spectacular fight scene in a police station, where Jian takes on a group of armed police officers using only a rolled-up magazine as a weapon. Jet Li's martial arts skills are on full display in the movie, and the fight scenes are choreographed to showcase his formidable abilities.
