In the movie King, the titular character is a lion cub who is illegally smuggled out of Africa and ends up escaping from the airport where he was being transported. He seeks refuge with Inès and Alex, two teenage siblings who live in a suburban area. Initially hesitant to take in such a dangerous animal, they eventually form a bond with King and become determined to get him back to his rightful home in Africa.
To accomplish this, they enlist the help of their eccentric grandfather Max, who is a former adventurer and has a deep love for animals. Together, they embark on a wild and dangerous journey across several countries, encountering various challenges along the way.
As they make their way through different landscapes and cultures, they learn more about the issues of wildlife trafficking and conservation. They also face threats from those who want to capture King and sell him for profit.
Despite the risks, the group remains determined to get King back to Africa. They eventually succeed in their mission, but not without facing some serious obstacles. In the end, they return home with a newfound appreciation for the importance of protecting and respecting wildlife.
