Kind Hearts and Coronets is a British black comedy film directed by Robert Hamer and released in 1949. The movie stars Dennis Price as Louis Mazzini, a poor young man who is descended from an aristocratic family but has been cut off from his inheritance due to his mother's scandalous marriage.
Louis decides to avenge his mother's ill-treatment at the hands of his wealthy relatives, who have refused to have her buried in the family mausoleum, by seeking revenge on those who stand between him and the family fortune. He embarks on a quest to murder the eight family members who stand between him and his inheritance.
Using his charm and cunning, Louis is able to ingratiate himself with his unsuspecting relatives and gradually eliminate them in a series of ingenious and creative ways. With every murder, Louis moves ever closer to his ultimate goal - becoming the Duke of Chalfont.

As Louis struggles to navigate the complex relationships of his personal life with his mission to kill off his relatives, his plans begin to unravel, leading to a tense and surprising climax.
