Killing Birds

Horror  Italy

Killing Birds is a horror film that was released in 1987. Directed by Claudio Lattanzi and written by Jose Maria Cunilles, the movie follows a group of students who decide to embark on a research project in the woods. It is there where they hope to observe various species of birds in their natural habitat.

However, things quickly take a turn for the worse when they stumble upon a laboratory that had been abandoned years prior. This laboratory had been experimenting on birds, and the students soon discover that the experiments had gone horribly wrong. Birds that were supposed to be dead come back to life, and with a newfound aggression, they begin to attack the students.

The students soon find themselves trapped in the woods, with no way of escaping the vicious birds that are out for blood. As the death toll rises, they come to the realization that they must band together and fight for their lives if they want to make it out of the woods alive.

Throughout the movie, the audience is given glimpses of the experiments that were conducted on the birds, as well as the suffering that these animals went through. Killing Birds serves as a warning against the dangers of animal testing and the consequences of playing god.
