Killer Nun is a 1978 Italian horror film directed by Giulio Berruti and starring Anita Ekberg as Sister Gertrude. The movie follows the story of Sister Gertrude, a nun who works as a nurse in a hospital in Rome. Despite being a devout and respected member of the community, she secretly struggles with a morphine addiction and sexual desires for women.

As Sister Gertrude's addiction worsens, she begins to engage in sadomasochistic activities with her female patients and fellow nuns. She also starts to experiment with killing her patients, framing their deaths as accidental or natural.

The hospital staff starts to suspect Sister Gertrude's involvement in the deaths, and they begin to investigate her. As her paranoia grows, she becomes increasingly violent and unstable, leading to a shocking climax.

Killer Nun was considered controversial at the time of its release due to its explicit depictions of lesbianism and sadomasochism. It was heavily censored in some countries and banned outright in others.

Despite its controversial content, Killer Nun has gained a cult following over the years and is now considered a classic of the Italian horror genre.
