Kill the Man is a 1999 indie comedy film directed by Tom Booker and Jon Kean. The film stars Luke Wilson, Joshua Malina, and Paula Devicq, among others. The movie follows the story of two friends, Chet (Luke Wilson) and Bret (Joshua Malina), who own a small, struggling copy shop called Long Shot Copies.

The two friends have hit hard times and are facing bankruptcy due to competition from a big-box chain store called King Co. They need to find a way to save their business, so they come up with a plan to challenge King Co. Bret thinks of a "marketing war" where they would have outrageous promotions that King Co. could not possibly match or would not want to try. This leads to a series of very creative and humorous one-upmanship stunts between the two sides.

However, King Co. sends a corporate manager to intimidate Chet and Bret to give up the fight. The corporate thug visits the Long Shot Copies and offers them a deal to sell their business to King Co. The offer comes with a price, and the two friends must decide if they're going to keep fighting or accept the corporate buyout.

The film also shows the friendship between Chet and Bret and the ups and downs of their relationship. It also has a subplot involving Chet's romantic interest, Karen (Paula Devicq), who works at the copy store. Kill the Man is a funny, quirky little comedy about the little guys taking on the big guys, and it's definitely worth a watch.
