Kid Cannabis

Drama  Canada

The movie Kid Cannabis is a biographical comedy-drama directed by John Stockwell. It is based on a true story of two young men, Nate Norman (played by Jonathan Daniel Brown) and Topher Clark (played by Kenny Wormald) who become successful drug dealers in Idaho after they start trafficking marijuana from Canada.

Nate Norman was an 18-year-old high school dropout who is struggling to find a job to support himself. He has a chance encounter with Topher Clark, a marijuana dealer who is living in the same town as him. Topher convinces Nate to help him smuggle marijuana across the border of Canada and sell it in the United States.

The two friends start making a lot of money and soon become known as the "Pot Kings of Idaho". They start living a lavish lifestyle and attract the attention of the authorities. They soon become the target of a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) investigation led by Agent Phil (played by Ron Perlman) who is determined to bring them down.

As their success continues, the two friends become increasingly reckless and start making mistakes. They eventually get caught and face serious consequences for their actions.

Kid Cannabis explores themes of friendship, greed, and the consequences of breaking the law. It also highlights how easy it can be for young people to get caught up in the world of drug trafficking and the high price they can pay for their mistakes.
