After witnessing Marcelo's violent behavior in the ring, David worries about the safety of his own exhibition fight against him. Xian assures David that he is more skilled and advises him to focus on his training. Meanwhile, Marcos continues to show David and Xian around the city, stealing from tourists to support himself and Isabella. However, Marcos soon becomes a target of Lane's white slavery operation and is kidnapped by Lane's men.
David and Xian eventually discover Lane's scheme and make a plan to rescue Marcos and bring Lane to justice. In the climactic final fight, David faces off against Marcelo and initially struggles, with Lane's underhanded tactics putting him in danger. However, with the encouragement of Xian and the memory of Marcos' bravery in the face of danger, David rallies and defeats Marcelo in an explosive showdown.
After the fight, David and Xian successfully rescue Marcos and shut down Lane's operation. David decides to stay in Rio and help Marcos and Isabella turn their lives around, training Marcos in the sport of kickboxing. The movie ends with David and Marcos sparring in the ring, hinting at a potential new champion emerging in the future.
