Kathryn Upside Down follows the story of Kathryn (played by Allie Loukas), a young woman who is struggling to find her place in the world. She lives with her mother, who is a successful author, but she feels trapped in her mundane life and dreams of becoming a fashion designer. However, she lacks the confidence and support to pursue her dreams.
One day, while her mother is hosting a party at their house, the plumber (played by Hunter Cross) arrives to fix the toilet. Kathryn immediately senses a connection with him, and after some sleuthing, she discovers that he is her biological father, who left her mother before she was born.
This revelation sends Kathryn into a tailspin, and she decides to embark on a journey to discover more about her father and herself. Along the way, she meets a colorful cast of characters, including a drag queen named Jackie (played by Kevin Sorbo) and a homeless artist named Charlie (played by Gregory Zarian).
As Kathryn learns more about her father, she also learns more about herself and her own passions. She begins to design her own clothes and starts to find success in the fashion industry. However, she also struggles with her relationships with her mother and her newfound father.
