The movie is based on real events that took place in 1950s Egypt, during the country's struggle for independence from British rule. It follows the story of General Youssef al-Masri (played by Amir Karara), who is in charge of a police station in Alexandria.
One day, a group of English soldiers rape a local girl, which leads to an outbreak of violence as three young Egyptians seek revenge by killing one of the soldiers. The British army demands that the perpetrator be handed over to them, but General Yusuf refuses, leading to a standoff between the two sides.
As tensions escalate, General Frank Adams (played by Scott Adkins) orders the British army to block the police station, and a bloody confrontation ensues between the Egyptian soldiers and the English army. The movie explores themes of colonialism, nationalism, and the struggle for justice in a divided society.
The film drew criticism for its portrayal of British soldiers as cartoonishly evil, and some reviewers called it a one-sided account of historical events. However, the movie was praised for its action sequences and strong performances by the cast, particularly Amir Karara in the lead role.
