Nicki Wright is a rebellious teenager who has grown up without a father. Her mother and grandmother have raised her, but they never talk about her father, leaving Nicki wondering about him. One day, she learns that her father is still alive and living in a nearby town. Nicki decides to pay him a visit and finally confront him about why he left her and her mother.
When she meets her father, she realizes that he is a martial arts instructor. At first, he is reluctant to teach her, but seeing her determination, he agrees to train her.
