Kaminey is a Bollywood crime thriller movie released in 2009, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. The movie features Shahid Kapoor in a dual role along with Priyanka Chopra, Amol Gupte, and Deb Mukherjee in pivotal roles.
The story revolves around twin brothers, Charlie and Guddu, who were separated during childhood due to their father's decision. Charlie suffers from a speech defect, known as lisping. Guddu is sincere and responsible, while Charlie is a charming gambling addict. Things take a drastic turn when Guddu decides to make some quick money by stealing an illegal consignment of drugs owned by a gangster named Tashi.
Meanwhile, Charlie accidentally gets involved in a plot to steal a prized car worth millions of rupees, which belongs to another gangster, Lobo. The stolen car contains the drugs that Guddu stole, and thus the two storylines intertwine, leading to a violent and thrilling climax.
As the brothers try to outrun the gangsters and police, they must confront their differences and come together to survive and protect their family. The film's fast-paced action, dark humor, and brilliant performances by the cast have made it a cult classic. The movie's title, Kaminey, is a Hindi slang word meaning "scoundrels" or "rogues."
