Juvenile Offender is a 2012 South Korean drama film directed by Kang Yi-kwan. The film centres around 16-year-old Ji-gu, a juvenile offender who has just been released from a juvenile detention centre. Upon his release, he is taken in by his grandmother, who tells him that his mother had died. However, Ji-gu discovers that his mother is alive when she suddenly appears at his doorstep.

Ji-gu's mother, Eun-hee, is now living a new life under a different identity with a new family. She abandoned her son when he was younger due to financial difficulties and her inability to take care of him. Now, Eun-hee learns the truth about Ji-gu's criminal past and is determined to make it up to him and be a good mother to him.

The movie is an emotional journey of a mother and son coming to terms with their past and trying to reconcile their relationship. Ji-gu struggles to forgive his mother for abandoning him and has trouble adjusting to life outside of the detention centre, while Eun-hee tries to make amends by finding a job and a better life for them.
