Justin, a young boy living in the kingdom of Gabilonia, dreams of becoming a knight like his grandfather, Sir Roland. However, his father, a lawyer, forbids him from pursuing knighthood and insists that Justin study law instead. Justin's grandmother, on the other hand, encourages him to follow his heart and become a knight.
One day, a band of brutal bandits led by the evil Sir Heraclio attack Gabilonia and threaten to overthrow the queen. Justin sets out on a quest to find the legendary Knights of Valour, to help defend his kingdom and prove himself worthy of knighthood.
Along the way, Justin meets a diverse group of characters, including a wizard, a minstrel, and a young girl named Talia. Despite facing numerous obstacles and challenges, Justin remains determined and tenacious, and gradually transforms into a courageous leader.
As Justin and his companions arrive at the Knights of Valour's castle, they discover that the order has disbanded due to lack of heroic deeds to perform. Justin convinces the knights to come out of retirement and help defend Gabilonia against Sir Heraclio and his minions.
In an epic showdown, Justin and his friends face off against Sir Heraclio's army, and Justin learns the true meaning of honour and friendship as he fights for his kingdom and the people he loves.
The film features an all-star voice cast, including Freddie Highmore as Justin, Antonio Banderas as Sir Clorex, and Mark Strong as Sir Heraclio. It was directed by Manuel Sicilia and released in 2013.
