The story of Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths takes place in an alternate universe parallel to the regular DC Comics universe. The alternate universe is home to the Crime Syndicate, an evil version of the Justice League. The Crime Syndicate is led by Ultraman, who has powers similar to Superman's, but with a cruel and sadistic personality. The other members of the syndicate include Superwoman, Owlman, Power Ring, and Johnny Quick.
The movie opens with Lex Luthor, the hero of this alternate Earth, escaping from the Crime Syndicate's prison and seeking out the Justice League for help. He tells them about the Crime Syndicate's reign of terror and how they have taken over everything from the White House to the media. Luthor convinces the Justice League to travel to the alternate universe to help save it.
The Justice League arrives on the alternate Earth and quickly sets about trying to stop the Crime Syndicate. They also meet the heroic counterparts of themselves, including a version of Batman who is very different from the one they know. This Batman is actually the leader of the resistance against the Crime Syndicate, and he is desperate to defeat them before they destroy the universe.
However, as the heroes fight battles against the Crime Syndicate, they discover that the true threat comes from within their own ranks. It turns out that Owlman, the villainous counterpart of Batman, has a plan that will destroy both universes. Owlman believes that there are countless alternate universes, and that every decision anyone makes splits reality into a new universe. If there are infinite universes, then no single universe can be truly important or valuable. Owlman decides that the only way to prove this and destroy all of reality is to set off a bomb that will destroy all the alternate Earths.
This sets up the climactic battle between the Justice League and the Crime Syndicate, with the fate of all existence hanging in the balance. In a dramatic final standoff, the heroes must stop Owlman before he can activate the bomb. The result is a thrilling action scene that involves all the heroes and villains using their powers and weapons to try to gain the upper hand.
In the end, of course, the Justice League prevails. Owlman is stopped, and the alternate Earth is saved from destruction. The Justice League returns to their own universe, but not without a new appreciation for the importance of the roles that they play in keeping their own world safe. The movie ends with a message about the importance of choosing the right path and making the right decisions in life - a message that is relevant not just to superheroes, but to everyone.
