Just Wright is a romantic comedy that follows the life of Leslie Wright, a single physical therapist who dreams of finding true love. Leslie is an avid basketball fan and has a chance encounter with NBA star Scott McKnight at a gas station. She is starstruck, but Scott seems uninterested in her.
Soon after, Scott suffers a career-threatening injury and Leslie is hired by his family to help him recover. As Scott's rehabilitation progresses, Leslie becomes an integral part of his life and they become friends. However, Leslie begins to develop feelings for Scott, and is torn between her professional duty and her personal desires.
Scott's childhood friend and publicist Morgan, who has always been in love with Scott, takes notice of the growing attraction between Leslie and Scott and becomes jealous. Morgan tries to sabotage the budding romance, but Leslie's kindness and genuine concern for Scott keep bringing them closer.
As Scott's recovery progresses, he starts to see Leslie in a different light and begins to develop feelings for her as well. However, he is hesitant to pursue a relationship with Leslie as he feels that his career may come in the way.
In the end, Leslie and Scott confess their love for each other, and Scott makes a life-changing decision that puts his feelings for Leslie above his basketball career. The movie ends with Leslie and Scott happily together, watching the NBA Finals on TV.
