Just Visiting is a 2001 American comedy film directed by Jean-Marie Poiré, who also directed the original French film Les Visiteurs. The film stars Jean Reno as Count Thibault of Malfete, a medieval French knight, and Christian Clavier as his loyal valet André, who are thrown into the future by an accidental transportation spell.

Upon arriving in Chicago in the year 2000, Count Thibault and André are surprised by the unfamiliar sights, sounds, and customs of modern-day America. They encounter a series of humorous misunderstandings and culture clashes, struggling to adapt to the fast-paced, technology-driven lifestyle of the 21st century.

As they try to find a way back to their own time, they are aided by a young museum curator named Julia (Christina Applegate), who is a descendant of Count Thibault's family. She is initially skeptical of their claims of being from the past, but becomes convinced after witnessing their feudal-era skills, which prove useful in a number of situations.

Meanwhile, Count Thibault's evil sorceress wife, Frenegonde (Tara Reid), travels forward in time as well, determined to track down her husband and exact revenge. She uses her powers to cause chaos and confusion in the modern world, leading to a series of hilarious encounters with law enforcement, businesspeople, and other unsuspecting victims.

In the end, Count Thibault and André manage to find a wizard who can send them back to their own time, but must first confront Frenegonde and put an end to her malevolent plans. The film ends with the characters returning home to the 12th century, having gained a newfound appreciation for the importance of family, love, and friendship across time and space.
