The movie Just My Luck follows the story of Ashley Albright, a young woman who seems to have it all. She's beautiful, successful, and incredibly lucky - everything seems to go her way. One night, while attending a masquerade party, Ashley meets Jake Hardin, a struggling music promoter with terrible luck. They kiss, and in that moment, Ashley's luck switches with Jake's.
Ashley goes from having the world at her fingertips to experiencing one stroke of "bad" luck after another. She loses her job, her apartment, and her friends. Meanwhile, Jake's luck starts to turn around and he becomes more and more successful, both personally and professionally.
As Ashley begins to realize what's happened to her, she develops feelings for Jake and struggles with whether or not to tell him the truth. In the end, she decides to come clean, and Jake forgives her. Together, they create a happy balance where they each experience a mix of good and bad luck.
The film stars Lindsay Lohan as Ashley and Chris Pine as Jake, and was released in 2006.
