Tom Leezak is a radio traffic reporter who is engaged to marry Sarah McNerney, the daughter of a wealthy family. Despite the objections of Sarah's family, the couple decides to get married. However, their honeymoon in Europe turns out to be a series of mishaps and near-disasters.
Their first problem occurs when they realize they have missed their flight to Europe. They manage to board another plane, but their luck doesn't improve. In Venice, they are scammed by a con artist and lose their money. In France, Tom accidentally sets fire to their hotel room. In Germany, Sarah accidentally causes a major traffic jam by driving the wrong way on a one-way street.
As the honeymoon progresses, the couple start to bicker and argue more frequently. Tom's ex-girlfriend also shows up, causing tension between the newlyweds. Sarah's family also intervenes, attempting to lure Sarah back home and dissolve the marriage.
Despite the many obstacles they face, Tom and Sarah continue to stick together and try to make the best of their situation. They eventually realize that their love for each other is more important than any honeymoon mishaps or family objections. In the end, they return home as a happy couple, ready to face whatever challenges may come their way.
