In the movie Jurassic Park, the wealthy entrepreneur is John Hammond, founder and CEO of InGen, a bioengineering company that has developed the technology to clone dinosaurs from DNA found in mosquitoes that have been preserved in amber. The dinosaurs are then raised on a remote island off the coast of Costa Rica, where they are monitored by a team of scientists and experts.

The film begins with a group of workers on the island being attacked by a velociraptor, which piques the interest of Hammond's investors. To prove the safety of the park, Hammond invites paleontologist Dr. Alan Grant, paleobotanist Dr. Ellie Sattler, and chaos theorist Dr. Ian Malcolm to evaluate the park and endorse its safety.

Hammond's two grandchildren, Tim and Lex, are also invited to the island to experience the park firsthand. They are taken on a tour of the facilities, which include a laboratory where the dinosaurs are created, and an amusement park where visitors can see the dinosaurs up close.

However, things quickly go wrong when the park's chief engineer, Dennis Nedry, sabotages the security system in an attempt to steal dinosaur embryos and sell them to a rival company. This causes the electricity on the island to shut down, allowing the dinosaurs to break free from their enclosures and wreak havoc on the park.

As the park's visitors and staff struggle to survive, Grant, Sattler, Malcolm, and the children must band together to escape the island before they become prey to the deadly prehistoric creatures.

The movie was directed by Steven Spielberg and released in 1993. It was a box office success and a milestone in the use of computer-generated imagery in film. The film's popularity led to a franchise that included sequels, spin-offs, and a recent reboot of the series.
