The film Juniper tells the story of 17-year-old Jonas, a troubled high school student who has been suspended for fighting. As punishment, his mother assigns him to take care of his grandmother, Juniper, who is an alcoholic and has been recently released from a rehabilitation center.

Jonas is initially resistant to the idea, but soon finds himself spending more time with Juniper and discovering a different side to her than he ever knew before. Despite her addiction and erratic behavior, Juniper proves to be a thoughtful and caring person, and the two form an unlikely bond.

As they spend time together, Juniper opens up to Jonas about her troubled past, including her struggles with addiction and her complicated relationship with his mother. Meanwhile, Jonas begins to address his own issues, including his anger and tendency towards self-destructive behavior.

Despite the challenges they face, Jonas and Juniper's time together proves to be transformative for both of them. By the end of the film, Jonas has turned his life around, and Juniper has found renewed purpose and hope for the future.
