Jungleland is a drama film directed by Max Winkler and starring Jack O'Connell as Stanley and Charlie Hunnam as Lion. Stanley and Lion are brothers who have dreams of making it big in the boxing world. They have a close relationship, with Stanley serving as Lion's manager and protector.
However, when Lion loses a major fight, the brothers find themselves in massive debt to a dangerous criminal. In an attempt to make back the money, Stanley agrees to have Lion fight in an underground bare-knuckle boxing tournament called Jungleland. The tournament offers a large cash prize, but it is also incredibly dangerous.
As they travel to different cities to participate in the tournaments, the brothers encounter a series of challenges and obstacles that put their relationship to the test. Along the way, they meet Sky (Jessica Barden), a young woman who joins them on their journey and complicates their dynamic.
Jungleland explores themes of brotherhood, sacrifice, and redemption, as the brothers struggle to find their way out of the dangerous world they have gotten themselves into. The film has received positive reviews for its strong performances and emotionally resonant story.
