In the movie Jumping Ship, Michael Woods and his cousin are excited to embark on a private yacht tour off the coast of Australia. However, their excitement quickly turns to fear when they realize that the yacht they chartered is actually an old, rusty fishing boat.
To make matters worse, they soon find themselves being chased by modern-day pirates who are after the boat's valuable cargo. With no other options, Michael, his cousin, and the boat's captain, Jake Hunter, decide to jump ship and swim to a nearby deserted island.
Once on the island, the three castaways must learn to work together and survive in the wild. They must build a shelter, find food and water, and protect themselves from the island's dangers. However, their biggest challenge of all will be finding a way to be rescued and returned home.
