Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is an action-packed adventure-comedy film released in 2017. It is a stand-alone sequel to the 1995 Jumanji film, which starred Robin Williams. The film follows four high school students: Spencer, Bethany, Fridge, and Martha, who are brought together for detention. While cleaning out the school's storage room, they discover an old video game called Jumanji.

When they start playing, they are sucked into the game and become their avatars: Spencer becomes Dr. Smolder Bravestone, an adventurer and archeologist; Martha becomes Ruby Roundhouse, a skilled martial artist and dance fighter; Fridge becomes Moose Finbar, a zoologist and weapons carrier; and Bethany becomes Professor Shelly Oberon, a cartographer and scientist. They soon realize that in order to return home, they must complete the game by finding the "Jaguar's Eye" and calling out "Jumanji."

Their journey takes them through a dangerous jungle filled with dangerous animals and obstacles, such as a motorcycle gang of henchmen, an encounter with a hippo, and a venom-filled snake. Along the way, they encounter a man named Alex, who has been trapped in the game for over 20 years. Together, they work to overcome the challenges and find the Jaguar's Eye.

Throughout their journey, they learn important lessons about teamwork, trust, and the value of inner strength. The film was a box office success, grossing over $962 million worldwide and receiving critical acclaim for its humor, cast performances, and updated take on the classic Jumanji story.
