The tyrannical king in question is King Balthazar, who rules over the kingdom of Euphrania with an iron fist. The boy in question is named Matthew, and at the beginning of the film, he is just an ordinary farm boy. However, when he discovers that he is the chosen one of the prophecy, he sets out on a quest to fulfill his destiny. With the help of a wise old wizard named Ambrosini, Matthew must learn how to harness his powers and lead a rebellion against King Balthazar.
Along the way, Matthew is joined by a band of rebels, including a fierce warrior named Meg and a roguish smuggler named Hector. Together, they must navigate treacherous terrain, battle fierce enemies, and outwit King Balthazar's troops.
