Jonah Hex is a scarred and disfigured bounty hunter with supernatural abilities, including the ability to speak with the dead. As he tracks down Turnbull, he is assisted by his Native American ally, the mystical gunsmith named Joe Hex (Michael Fassbender).
Turnbull's plan involves the use of a powerful weapon called "the Nation Killer" that has the ability to destroy entire cities. Jonah Hex must race against time to stop Turnbull and prevent him from unleashing this weapon upon the world.
Throughout the film, Jonah Hex is haunted by the memories of his past, particularly the death of his family at the hands of Turnbull. He is driven by a desire for revenge, and must come to terms with his own personal demons in order to defeat Turnbull and save the country.
