Joker's Wild follows the story of a struggling screenwriter, Jack, who is in love with his best friend, Sally. However, Sally is in a relationship with Frank, a notorious mobster who is insanely jealous and possessive. When Frank finds out about Jack's feelings for Sally, he becomes enraged and sets out to kill him.
Jack, fearing for his life, flees New York and heads to the Caribbean, hoping to start a new life. However, Frank is hot on his heels and will stop at nothing to find and eliminate him.
While hiding out in a remote island, Jack meets a group of locals who take him under their wing and teach him the ways of their culture. He learns to embrace their simple way of life, and slowly begins to forget about his troubles back home.
But as Frank closes in on him, Jack is forced to confront his fears and fight for his life. With the help of his new friends, Jack devises a plan to take down Frank and put an end to his reign of terror once and for all.
