In Johnny English Reborn, we follow the return of Johnny English (played by Rowan Atkinson), a secret agent who was disavowed by MI-7 after a mission gone wrong. He has since been living in a remote outpost in Tibet, where he has been practicing martial arts and meditation.
Meanwhile, back in London, MI-7 receives intelligence that the Chinese premier is in danger of being assassinated during a global conference of heads of state. All eyes turn to Johnny English, who is brought out of retirement to save the day.
Johnny is initially skeptical of his abilities, as he has been out of the game for so long. However, he is soon given a suite of high-tech gadgets and equipment that he can use to take down his enemies. These include a briefcase that doubles as a bulletproof shield, a pen that doubles as a stun gun, and a car that can transform into a submarine.
As Johnny investigates the assassination plot, he uncovers evidence of a massive conspiracy involving some of the world's most powerful organizations. He also discovers that he has a mole within MI-7 who is working against him.
Despite the odds stacked against him, Johnny is determined to save the Chinese premier and restore his reputation as an agent. With the help of his trusty sidekick Bough (played by Ben Miller), he sets out to stop the killers before they can strike.
In the end, Johnny and Bough are able to foil the assassination plot and save the day. Johnny also discovers the identity of the mole within MI-7, who is promptly arrested. With his reputation redeemed, Johnny is welcomed back into the fold at MI-7 and given a new assignment.
