The movie Johnny English is a comedy spy film directed by Peter Howitt and starring Rowan Atkinson in the title role. Atkinson plays an incompetent MI7 agent, Johnny English, who is suddenly promoted to a super spy position after Agent One is assassinated.
As the only remaining agent left, English must save the day when the Crown Jewels are stolen on his watch during the exhibition sponsored by billionaire entrepreneur Pascal Sauvage (John Malkovich). English's ineptitude causes chaos and he clashes with his more capable colleagues, especially his partner, Bough (Ben Miller).
English embarks on a wild and reckless mission to uncover Sauvage’s scheme and retrieve the stolen gems. English's investigations lead him to investigate Sauvage's villainous plans to make himself king, which involves the theft of the Crown Jewels.
Along the way, English encounters a beautiful Russian spy and engages in a number of comedic situations, including disastrous social events and car chases, as he bumbles his way towards saving the day.
With a mix of slapstick comedy and spy thriller elements, this movie has a fast-paced and witty storyline that will have you laughing out loud.
