Joe is a 2013 drama movie directed by David Gordon Green. The movie stars Nicolas Cage as Joe Ransom, the rough-hewn boss of a lumber crew in rural Texas. Joe is a heavy drinker and has a violent past, but he is also a kind-hearted man who tries to help those in need.
