The movie Jinxed follows the Murphy family as they navigate their way through life with the constant bad luck that comes with being cursed. Meg is a high school student who dreams of a normal life, but with her family's cursed past, she knows that's unlikely to happen. When their house is destroyed in yet another freak accident, the family is forced to move in with their grandfather in Harvest Hills. This small town may offer a chance at a fresh start, but Meg's arch-nemesis Ivy is also spending the summer there.
As Meg tries to settle into her new life, she meets a local boy named Brett who casts a love spell on her. While this may seem like a reprieve from the family curse, things quickly take a turn for the worse when Meg discovers that the love spell is part of a larger scheme to exploit the Murphy family's bad luck. With the help of her brother Charlie, Meg sets out to break the curse once and for all.
