In Jesse Stone: Death in Paradise, Jesse Stone is dealing with his own personal demons, including his struggles with alcoholism and his failed marriage. As he investigates the murder of a young girl, he begins to uncover a web of corruption and deceit in the community.

Stone learns that the girl, named Candace Pennington, was involved with a local writer named Norman Shaw, who had been using troubled teens as inspiration for his bestselling books. He also discovers that a powerful Boston mobster, Gino Fish, is involved in the case and has ties to Shaw.

As Stone delves deeper into the case, he uncovers a conspiracy involving local politicians, law enforcement officers, and the mob. He also confronts his own personal demons, including his addiction to alcohol and his feelings for his ex-wife.

The movie is based on the novel Death in Paradise by Robert B. Parker and stars Tom Selleck as Jesse Stone. It was directed by Robert Harmon and first aired on the CBS network in 2006.
