Upon arriving in Hollywood, Jay and Silent Bob discover that production of the Bluntman and Chronic movie is underway and that they are the laughing stock of the town. Determined to stop the film from being made, the pair set out on a quest to disrupt production. Along the way, they encounter a variety of colorful characters including a group of animal rights activists, a hitchhiking George Carlin, and a group of sexy jewel thieves. As they cause chaos on the set of the movie, Jay and Silent Bob also find themselves in a high-speed chase with the police and a bittersweet encounter with their old friend, Banky Edwards. In the end, they learn the true meaning of friendship and loyalty as they face their biggest challenge yet in the form of the film's star, a martial arts guru who seeks to destroy them.
