In the movie, Jay (Jason Mewes) and Silent Bob (Kevin Smith), two beloved characters from the View Askewniverse, learn that the comic book series based on them, Bluntman and Chronic, is being adapted into a reboot film without their permission or involvement. Frustrated and determined to stop it, they embark on a road trip from New Jersey to Hollywood to sabotage the production. Along the way, they encounter old friends and new adversaries, including cameos from many actors from previous Kevin Smith films such as Harley Quinn Smith, Shannon Elizabeth, and Jason Lee. They also discover surprising revelations about Jay's past and their friendship. The film is a satirical commentary on Hollywood's tendency to recycle old properties for profit and a celebration of the fans and characters that make up the View Askewniverse.
