Jaws 3-D, also known as Jaws III, is a 1983 American horror film directed by Joe Alves and starring Dennis Quaid, Bess Armstrong, and Louis Gossett Jr. The film is a sequel to the original Jaws and Jaws 2, and is notable for being shot and released in 3-D.
The plot follows two brothers, Mike (Dennis Quaid) and Sean (John Putch), who work as marine biologists at Sea World in Florida. When a young great white shark accidentally gets trapped in the park's lagoon, they attempt to capture it and release it back into the ocean. However, they soon discover that the shark's mother has also entered the park and is wreaking havoc on the visitors.
As the body count rises, Mike and Sean team up with their boss Calvin (Louis Gossett Jr.) to try and stop the massive shark before it can cause any more damage. Along the way, they must navigate treacherous underwater tunnels, fend off smaller sharks, and deal with a shady businessman who wants to exploit the attack for his own gain.
Despite its 3-D gimmickry and over-the-top storyline, Jaws 3-D remains a cult favorite among horror fans for its campy charm and all-star cast. It also features a memorable theme song by Alan Parker that has become synonymous with the film franchise.
