Jason X is a science fiction slasher film that was released in 2001. It is the tenth installment in the long-running Friday the 13th franchise and takes place in the distant future where Earth has become uninhabitable due to pollution and environmental disaster. The movie stars Lexa Doig, Lisa Ryder, and Kane Hodder as Jason Voorhees.
The movie begins with a group of scientists who discover Jason's body frozen in ice on Earth. They decide to take his body and study it on their space station, which is orbiting Earth. Unfortunately, they are unable to kill him, and Jason kills most of the crew members.
The remaining survivors attempt to outsmart and defeat Jason, often resulting in brutal and gory deaths. However, Jason's body is eventually destroyed, and the surviving members of the crew escape the space station just before it explodes.
The movie received mixed reviews but was praised for its practical effects, which were done by veteran horror effects artist Stan Winston. While not necessarily well-received by audiences or critics, Jason X has developed a cult following among fans of the franchise and the horror genre.
