Jai Ho is a Bollywood action-drama film directed by Sohail Khan and produced by Sunil Lulla and Sohail Khan. It stars Salman Khan in the lead role, along with Tabu, Danny Denzongpa, and Daisy Shah in supporting roles. The movie is a remake of the Telugu film, Stalin.
The story revolves around Jai Agnihotri (Salman Khan), an ex-army officer who believes in the power of "pay it forward." Jai's life changes when he witnesses a young girl being harassed by a group of men. He intervenes and helps her, only to be falsely framed by the corrupt police for extortion. Jai fights back and is soon joined by his friends, family, and the people he has helped in the past, forming an ever-growing circle of people helping each other.
As Jai takes on the corrupt system, he is constantly faced with challenges and obstacles. But with his determination and the support of his circle, he continues to fight for what is right. Along the way, Jai also reunites with his long-lost sister, Geeta (Tabu), who adds another layer to the story.
The film features a number of action-packed sequences and emotional moments. The music by Sajid-Wajid is catchy and adds to the overall appeal of the movie. Jai Ho was released on January 24, 2014, and received mixed reviews from critics. However, it was a commercial success, grossing over 183 crores at the box office.
