Jab We Met is a Hindi-language romantic-comedy-drama movie released in 2007. The movie features the story of Aditya Kashyap (Shahid Kapoor), a depressed and disturbed businessman who has lost all his hope and interest in life. He boards a train to escape from his problems but misses it due to his drunken state.
He later meets a talkative and happy-go-lucky girl, Geet (Kareena Kapoor), who is on her way to meet her boyfriend. Geet is the complete opposite of Aditya, and her positive and lively nature slowly begins to have a positive impact on his life.
Despite initial resistance, Aditya accompanies Geet on her journey to her hometown, Bhatinda. Along the way, they encounter several obstacles, but Geet's positivity and determination help them overcome these challenges.
During their journey, Aditya falls in love with Geet, but she remains oblivious to his feelings. On reaching Bhatinda, Geet discovers that her boyfriend has cheated on her and left her stranded. Aditya helps Geet to overcome her heartbreak and eventually confesses his love to her.
However, Geet rejects Aditya, feeling that their lives are too different, and she wants to focus on her career. Aditya leaves heartbroken but eventually realizes that he needs to start anew and make the most of life. He returns to Geet, and they confess their love for each other.
The movie ends with Aditya and Geet getting married and starting a new life together. Jab We Met was a commercial and critical success, and the chemistry between the lead actors, Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, was widely appreciated. The film's soundtrack, composed by Pritam, was also a hit, and the songs continue to be popular to this day.
