It! The Terror from Beyond Space is a 1958 science fiction horror film directed by Edward L. Cahn. The movie follows the story of Colonel Edward Carruthers, who is accused of murdering his fellow colleagues during their expedition to Mars. A rescue mission arrives to take him back to Earth, but strange occurrences start to happen aboard their spacecraft.
As they begin their journey back to Earth, the crew members of the rescue mission start to disappear one by one. They soon discover that a terrifying alien creature had stowed away on their ship. The creature, which is referred to as "It" throughout the film, is a carnivorous monster with ash grey skin, razor-sharp teeth, and powerful claws.
The remaining crew members work together to try and defeat the alien creature, but it seems unkillable and can survive in the most hostile environments. The crew soon realizes that their only chance of survival is to force the creature out of the ship and into the vacuum of space.
The film was praised for its suspenseful pacing and innovative use of limited sets and special effects. It has since become a cult classic and influenced many subsequent science fiction horror movies, including Ridley Scott's Alien.
