Comedy  N/A

It All Depends on Girls (French title: Ça dépend des filles) is a 1964 French romantic comedy film directed by Claude Autant-Lara. The film is set in Montmartre, Paris, a bohemian neighborhood, and revolves around the lives of two friends, Jean-Luc (Jean-Claude Brialy) and Mathieu (Jacques Charrier).

Jean-Luc is a cabinetmaker who lives a carefree life, spending his days playing guitar and singing with his friends. Mathieu is a talented sculptor who spends most of his time in his studio working on his art. Both of them are content with their lives until they meet the love of their lives.

Jean-Luc falls for the beautiful and free-spirited Catherine (Bernadette Lafont), who is a waitress at a local café. Mathieu, on the other hand, falls for the sophisticated and elegant Odile (Laurence Badie), who is the daughter of a wealthy family.

Despite their initial reluctance to settle down, both Catherine and Odile eventually fall for Jean-Luc and Mathieu, respectively. However, their parents and other societal pressures make it difficult for them to get married. In the end, Jean-Luc and Mathieu must find a way to convince the women in their lives to marry them, despite the obstacles in their way.

The film is a light-hearted and charming comedy that captures the bohemian spirit of Montmartre in the 1960s. The performances of the cast, especially Brialy and Lafont, are excellent, and the film's colorful visuals and catchy musical numbers add to its overall appeal.
