Iron Man: Rise of Technovore is an animated superhero film produced by Marvel Entertainment and Madhouse. The story follows Tony Stark, also known as Iron Man, as he investigates the murder of his close friend and ally, James Rhodes, also known as War Machine. The murder is linked to the mysterious terrorist organization called the Technovore.
Iron Man teams up with the ruthless Punisher, who agrees to help him track down the Technovore. Meanwhile, two S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are assigned to track Iron Man as they suspect his involvement in a recent terrorist plot.
As Iron Man and Punisher dig deeper, they uncover a grand conspiracy that threatens the world. The Technovore turns out to be an advanced intelligent virus that has gained control of Stark Industries' technology and is using it to launch a global attack.
Iron Man and Punisher fight their way through a series of battles against the Technovore and its agents, as they close in on the mastermind behind the plot. In a final showdown, they confront Ezekiel Stane, the son of Iron Man's former enemy Obadiah Stane, who has been manipulating events from behind the scenes.
The film features the voice talents of Adrian Pasdar as Iron Man, Norman Reedus as Punisher, and Matthew Mercer as Technovore. It was released straight to video and digital platforms on April 16, 2013.
